Adventure tourism refers to an outdoor physical activity or combination of activities that takes place in a specific nature setting, involves non-conventional means of transportation, whether motorized or non-motorized, and necessarily entails a degree of risk that may vary according to the environment (isolation, geographical features, etc.) or the nature of the activities and means of transportation involved.
